An overseas promotion event for the 14th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (CMEG) was held in Tucson, Arizona on February 2, extending a global invitation to the expo slated for May 2026 in Chenzhou.

According to the organizers, the 14th CMEG will take place at the Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 15 to 19, 2026, cordially inviting mineral and gemstone enthusiasts worldwide to attend.

This promotion conference was jointly hosted by the Chenzhou State-owned Assets Holding Group Co., Ltd. and the China Fossil Preservation Foundation (CFPF). Nearly 500 people from around the world participated, including mining entrepreneurs, geological experts, paleontology scholars, and top collectors.

With the theme of "Dinosaurs Soaring to the Blue Sky—The Mineral Kingdom of the Dinosaur World," the event was co-hosted bilingually by Zheng Jianrong and Guo Zhouping, seasoned professionals in the mineral crystal field and pioneers who first promoted Chinese mineral specimens to the international market.

Lu Jianhua, vice chairman of CFPF, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers, introducing the thematic concept and highlights of the 14th CMEG. He emphasized that this edition would take dinosaur culture as a theme, integrating mineral displays, fossil education, and academic exchanges to create an international mining event blending expertise with aesthetic appeal. Lu noted that Chenzhou, known as "China's Hometown of Non-ferrous Metals," possesses exceptional mineral resources. The organizing committee's professional preparation and operational capabilities provide robust support for the exhibition's advancement. Lu extended a sincere invitation to global mining professionals to join this extraordinary gathering of "Dinosaurs and Minerals."

Top international collectors have praised the expo. Robert Lavinsky, president of the Arkenstone in the United States, shared his collaboration with the expo, extolling the unique charm and collection value of Chinese mineral specimens. He explicitly stated his continued support for the 14th CMEG, aiming to foster global cultural exchange and mutual learning within the mining industry. Mark Pospisil, former curator of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, also delivered remarks, expressing keen anticipation for the event and acknowledging its significant platform value within the global mineral collecting community.

The promotion event featured a vibrant atmosphere, with attendees engaging in in-depth discussions on industry trends and cooperation prospects. The event not only highlighted the core strengths of the CMEG but also amplified its international popularity and industrial influence, laying a solid foundation for gathering premium global resources and deepening international collaboration.
