Changde's exports of specialty fruits such as citrus and grapes reached 29,000 tonnes in the first ten months of this year, with a total value of 250 million CNY. This represents year-on-year increases of 18.5% and 21.4%, respectively, setting a new historical high, said the Changde Customs Authority on December 1, 2025.

At the Lixian County Base of an agricultural products development company, workers are loading batches of Sunshine Rose grapes onto trucks for shipment. These grapes will be transported via cold chain and appear on Southeast Asian markets within 48 hours of dispatch. According to the company's representative, its total exports through October this year have increased by 88.9% compared to the same period last year.

Citrus fruits also sell well overseas. In September this year, 160 tonnes of fresh citrus fruits were exported to Belarus for the first time after passing inspection by the Changde Customs Authority, bringing the total number of countries and regions served to 18.

Since the beginning of this year, the Changde Customs Authority has fully implemented reforms for batch inspection and quarantine of exported agricultural products and remote local inspection. These measures have further enhanced the clearance efficiency for fresh agricultural products and increased the sense of gain for enterprises. There are now 97 registered export orchards and packing plants in the authority, said an official of the Supervision Section at the Changde Customs Authority.
