Originated in Hunan and centered in Changsha and Xiangtan, Xiang Opera has flourished across the province, hence an essential cultural emblem in the lives of Hunan people. Blending four major vocal styles—Gaoqiang, Dipaizi, Kunqiang, and Tanqiang—the unique art form interweaves diverse melodies to vividly portray the rise and fall of histories and the diversity of human experiences.
