Hunan in poetry·Approaching Du Fu

在第二次到达长沙的期间，杜甫在这里遇到了一位故人，李龟年，盛唐时期最杰出的音乐家，被后代誉为唐代乐圣，因此，作出了那首，江南逢李龟年。

During his second visit to Changsha, Du Fu met an old friend here, Li Guinian, the most outstanding musician of the Tang Dynasty, who was praised by future generations as the music sage of the Tang Dynasty, so he made the poem,Coming Across a Disfavored Court Musician on the Southern Shore of the Yangze River.

大唐清明的政治，造就了一个歌舞升平的时代，那时的李龟年是著名的音乐家，常在贵族豪门的府邸中演出。

The correct politics of the Tang Dynasty created a peace and prosperity times. At that time,Li Guinian was a famous singer and often sang in aristocratic and rich families.

年少的杜甫，因才华横溢，受到岐王的赏识，得以在府邸欣赏李龟年的歌唱。

The young Du Fu was appreciated by King Qi for his super talent so he was able to enjoy Li guinian's singing in thier mansions.

几十年后的盛唐早已不复当年，安史之乱把人们拉入了战乱的深渊，二位曾满腹才华，叱诧风云的人物辗转漂泊，又在江南(今湖南长沙)相遇。他们在战乱中过着流浪的生活，李龟年靠卖艺为生。二个面容憔悴的老人在颠沛流离中重逢。杜甫回忆往事，如过眼云烟。

Decades later the prosperous Tang Dynasty was no longer what it was. The An Shi Rebellion brought people into the war. Two people who were full of talent, chided surprise wind and dust, and met in Changsha, Hunan province.They all lived a vagabond life during wartime, Li Guinian busked for a living. Two haggard old men meet again in the midst of displacement.Du Fu recalled the past, like a passing cloud, filled with emotion, and then wrote this poem.

“诗圣”杜甫晚年在湖南漂泊了两年多，曾在长沙湘江边“江阁”寄居,这也是他人生最后的一段岁月，两年里，杜甫留下百余首诗篇，其中在长沙所作的就有50多首，包括著名的《江南逢李龟年》，这些史诗为湖湘文化添光增彩。

In his later years, Du Fu, the "sage of poetry", spent more than two years wandering in Hunan, once living in the "River Pavilion" beside the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, which was also the last period of his life. In the two years, Du Fu left more than 100 poems, among which more than 50 were written in Changsha, including the famous "Coming Across a Disfavored Court Musician on the Southern Shore of the Yangze River".These poems add luster to Hunan culture.
