腾飞的湖南，不断给自己“升级加装备”，坚决淘汰落后产能，向高端引领演进。

The High-Tech “Trans-former”

Hunan strives to build a worldclass industrial cluster of construction machinery, rail transit, aero engines, electronic information, new materials and consumer goods. At present, 3 trillion-level industries and 20 emerging superior industrial chains have been formed. The added value of high-tech industries accounts for nearly a quarter of the regional GDP. The global market share of electric locomotives is the largest in the world and the output of concrete machinery ranks first in the world. Hunan “transformers” can be found in construction sites in more than 100 countries around the world. Currently, 173 Fortune Global 500 companies have made investments or established projects in Hunan, as well as local machinery giants such as Zoomlion and Sanyi. Today, Hunan has become China’s largest base for rail transit R&D, production and export, construction machinery manufacturing, small and medium aero engine and aircraft take-off and landing system development.

打造高科技的“铜头铁臂”

湖南着力打造工程机械、轨道交通世界级和航空发动机、电子信息、新材料、消费品工业国家级先进产业集群。目前，形成了3个万亿级产业和20条工业新兴优势产业链，高新技术产业增加值占地区生产总值的比重接近四分之一，电力机车全球市场占有率世界第一，混凝土机械产量世界第一，在全球100多个国家的工地，都有湖南“变形金刚”的身影。目前，173家世界500强企业在湖南有投资或项目，还有本土机械巨头企业如中联重科、三一重工等。如今的湖南已成为中国最大的轨道交通研发生产基地和出口基地、工程机械制造基地、中小航空发动机和飞机起降系统研制基地。

Hunan’s Powerful “Super-brain”

In recent years, Hunan’s in vestments in research and development have been continuously increasing. The construction of science and technology innovation bases with Changzhutan National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone as the core has been promoted. Yuelu Mountain National University Science and Technology Park, and Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park are full of vigor. The average annual net increase of high-tech enterprises is nearly 1,000, and the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress has increased by 1.6% annually. In 2018, the added value of Hunan’s high-tech industries accounted for nearly 25% of GDP. At the National Science and Technology Conference held in 2019, the number of national science and technology awards won by Hunan accounted for 1/10 of the country.

湖南的强力“大脑”

近年，湖南的研发经费投入强度不断提高，以长株潭国家自主创新示范区为核心的科技创新基地建设加快，岳麓山国家大学科技城、马栏山视频文创产业园活力绽放，高新技术企业年均净增近千家，科技进步贡献率年均提升1.6个百分点，其中2018年全省高新技术产业增加值占GDP比重接近25%，在2019年召开的全国科技大会上，湖南获得国家科技大奖数量占全国的1/10。

The development of science and technology in Hunan has achieved a lot. During the 13th Five-Year Plan, Hunan won 56 national science and technology awards. In 2019, Hunan won 27 national science and technology awards, including 4 first prizes. Significant breakthroughs such as super hybrid rice, supercomputers, ultra-high-speed trains, mediumlow-speed maglev train, advanced tunneling equipment, and the “Hainiu” deep-sea drilling rig are all Hunan’s fruitful technological achievements.

湖南的强力大脑创造出了一系列科技成果，“十三五”共获国家科技奖励56项，2019年获国家科技奖励27项，其中一等奖4项。超级杂交水稻、超级计算机、超高速列车、中低速磁浮列车、先进掘进装备、“海牛号”深海钻机等标志性成果都是湖南的科技硕果。

There is a famous saying in medical field in China—“Union Medical College Hospital for the north, Xiangya Hospital for the south”. Xiangya Hospital has a history of more than 100 years, which is a base of Chinese medical treatment and always the guardian of Hunan people’s health. In recent 10 years, Xiangya Hospital has received 16 national major special projects, 18 major international projects and has won 35 National Science and Technology Awards (including 10 National Science Conference Awards). During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Xiangya Hospital, on behalf of Hunan people, bravely headed to the front line of fifi ghting pandemic.

提到高科技，就不得不提医疗，所谓“北协和，南湘雅”。百年湘雅是湖南人民的保护神，是中国医疗的攻坚基地。近10年来，学院获得国家重大专项16项、重大国际项目18项、获国家科技奖35项（含全国科学大会奖10项）。在2020年的新冠疫情中，湘雅代表湖南人民勇敢地冲在了抗疫第一线。

At the same time, Hunan is also cultivating and expanding the emerging advantageous industrial chains of artififi cial intelligence, new energy, bio-medicine and other industries. 16 enterprises have been approved model companies for national intelligent manufacturing, and the intelligent connected vehicle (Changsha) test zone has been approved by central government. With “Internet + manufacturing”booming, intelligent products are constantly emerging, so it is with the intelligent service levels. Hunan, undergoing industrial upgrading, is a fertile land for development and investment.

与此同时，湖南也正在培育壮大人工智能、新能源、生物医药等工业新兴优势产业链，16家企业获批国家“智能制造试点示范”，智能网联汽车（长沙）测试区获国家授牌。“互联网＋制造业”蓬勃发展，智能化产品不断涌现，智能化服务水平不断提升。产业升级中的湖南，是一块发展热土，更是一块投资宝地。
