度过满满当当一整天，吃好了喝好了玩好了，这就到位了？

Local Changsha people will tell you: “let’s go for a foot bath! Only when you enjoy foot massage can you say you have fully enjoyed yourself.”

长沙老口子（经验丰富的人）会告诉你：“走，洗个脚去！洗好了，才是真的好！”

As famous as the bathhouse in northeastern China, foot bath and massage are indispensable entertainments for Changsha people. Known as “the city of foot bath”, Changsha has over 15,000 recorded foot bath centers, which is more than the sum of bath centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing.

正如东北的澡堂子闻名全国，洗个脚、按个摩是长沙人不可或缺的休闲方式。作为全国知名的“脚都”，长沙大大小小记录在案的足浴中心就有1.5万多家，比北京、上海、天津、重庆4个城市的加起来还多。

The earliest connection between Changsha people and foot bath can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty, when our Xinzhui “ai jie” lived. A silk manuscript unearthed from the Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs recorded a “guiding map” of foot massage and the flfl ow of Qi more than 2,000 years ago.

长沙人跟足浴最早的联系，可以追溯到西汉时期。没错，就是辛追娭毑生活的那个西汉。马王堆汉墓出土的帛书中，就记载了两千多年前关于足疗推拿、导气的“引导图”。

In fact, foot bath can be more than foot-washing. It’s also a kind of health-care method. Hunan is moist all the year round and the extra dampness and heat cannot be drained out. Therefore, long ago, people facilitated the blood circulation and strengthened their bodies by foot bath, which is a down-to-earth wisdom of ancient Changsha people.

其实，足浴可不仅仅是“洗洗脚”这么简单，足浴也是一种医疗养生之法。湖南常年多雨，地处中原，湿热之气排不出去，暑气、寒气都堆积在人体内，所以很早之前人们就会借着足浴保健的方式，活经络、强身体，这可是两千多年前的“老长沙”们“脚”踏实地的健康智慧。

Nowadays, after finishing a long day of fast-paced work, having a hot foot bath is a unique way that Changsha people call it a day. Seeing Changsha people living such an exquisite life that they even care so much about their feet, and are easy to have a sense of pureand simple contentment, how can you not say that they are a group of people so passionately “serious” about enjoying themselves? That’s one of the reasons why Changsha is one of the cities which have the highest level of happiness-measuring in China.

而如今，结束了一整天的快节奏工作，在热气氤氲的足浴房给这一天画上句号，也是长沙人生活的仪式感。细致到脚上面的长沙人，更懂得如何脚踏实地，知足常乐，享受最简单、最踏实的快乐。这种脚踏实地的快乐，也是长沙成为全国幸福感最强城市之一的一个原因吧。
