2019 China Space Day

Celebrations in Changsha

China designated April 24, 2016 as the first-ever "Space Day." This year the China Space Day main celebrations will be held between April 24 and 27 in Changsha, Hunan.

Sponsors: the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT); the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND); the China National Space Administration (CNSA); and, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government.

Organizers: the Chinese Society of Astronautics, Hunan University

There will be more than 20 activities, including opening ceremony, the Conference of China Space Industry Empowering the UN with the Realization of Sustainable Target, 2nd China Space Conference, and Hunan Space Industry Development Forum.

自2016年起，将每年4月24日设立为“中国航天日”。2019年“中国航天日”主场活动将于4月24至27日在湖南省长沙市举行，由工业和信息化部、国防科工局、国家航天局、湖南省人民政府共同主办，中国宇航学会、湖南大学承办。

2019年“中国航天日”主场活动将由开幕式、“中国/联合国 航天助力可持续发展大会”、第二届中国航天大会、“湖南航天产业发展座谈会”等20余场系列活动组成。

CNSA will publicize a statement that Chinese space industry will keep empowering the UN with the sustainable target;

SASTIND will present a “China Space Day” flag to Hunan University;

The China Space Foundation will commend the personnel who have made prominent contributions to Chinese space industry. Two important space project awards, and 10 outstanding contribution awards will be granted.

开幕式上，国家航天局将发布中国航天助力可持续发展声明;国防科工局将为湖南大学授“中国航天日”旗帜;为奖励对中国航天事业作出突出贡献的有功人员，中国航天基金会将颁发2个航天重大项目奖和10个航天杰出贡献奖。

Conference of China Space

Industry Empowering the UN with

the Realization of Sustainable Target

中国/联合国 航天助力可持续发展大会

Date: April 24 – 27, 2019

The conference aims to facilitate realizing UN’s sustainable development target, based on promoting space technology development. It will, for the first time, match space industrial development demands with solutions around the world, in a bid to sort out space technologies and their contributions to sustainable development, and support the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs’ (UNOOSA) “Space 2030 Agenda”.

More than 100 guests from over 40 countries and dozens of international organizations, and leaders of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology, MIIT, Meteorological Administration, and Hunan government, will attend.

CNSA will hold a China-Europe Earth Observation Seminar, and China-Russia Moon Observation Seminar, collaborating with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities.

本次大会旨在通过促进各国航天技术的发展，推动联合国可持续发展目标的实现，也是首次将各国航天发展需求与航天解决方案进行对接，从而更好地梳理航天技术及应用对可持续发展目标的贡献，为联合国外空司正在制定的空间2030议程提供支撑。大会邀请了40余个国家10余个国际组织百余名外宾参会，中国外交部、科技部、工信部、气象局和湖南省等有关领导参加。大会同期，中国国家航天局还将联合欧空局召开中欧对地观测研讨会，联合俄罗斯国家航天集团公司召开中俄月球观测研讨会。

2nd China Space Conference

第二届“中国航天大会”

Date: April 23 – 25, 2019

时间：2019年4月23日-25日

The conference is hosted by the Chinese Society of Astronautics and the China Space Foundation. Four serial activities, with academic, industrial, scientific, and cultural creation orientations, will be organized from the aspects of space science, space technology, and space application, to show cutting-edge space technology, discuss space industry prospects, and boost global cooperation. The major seminar will be held at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center on April 24 (13:30-18:00), with sub-forums in Hunan University and Central South University.

大会由中国宇航学会、航天基金会主办。大会从“空间科学、空间技术、空间应用”三个维度出发，依托学术、产业、科普、文创四大活动体系，全面展示宇航前沿技术，深入探讨航天未来愿景，广泛推动世界航天领域的深度合作。主报告会将于4月24日下午13:30-18:00在长沙举行，其他分论坛分别在湖南大学及中南大学等会场举办。

Hunan Space Industry

Development Forum

湖南航天产业发展座谈会

Persons in charge of related state and Hunan departments, and academicians and experts in space science, will discuss Hunan' s space industry development, and Hunan’s breakthroughs in spacecraft, general aviation, aerospace materials and electronic engineering, and satellite application. A group of space industry cooperative projects will be promoted.

Hunan University is a major organizer of the 2019 China Space Day. It will assist in 6 activities, and undertake 4 forums:

- 3rd President Forum on China Aerospace Science and Technology Education;

- Subtropics Remote Sensing Application Forum;

- International Youth Space Education Forum; and,

- 2019 Chinese Society of Astronautics Young Experts Forum.

Various cultural activities will be launched supported by Hunan’s broadcasting Film and TV Group. Hunan TV will stage a space themed programme on its Day Day Up talk show on April 21, and hold a live streaming of the China Space Day celebration. Chinese leading figures in space industry will give interviews on the “People in News” programme. Beyond that, a space-themed fireworks show is planned.

国家有关部门、湖南省等单位的领导以及航天领域院士专家，将探索湖南如何发展航天航空产业、推广湖南省在航天器总体、通用航空、航天航空材料、航天航空电子、卫星应用等领域取得突破，推动湖南省创新引领开放崛起战略的实施。座谈会还将发布一批航天航空产业重大合作项目。大会由湖南省人民政府、国防科工局共同主办，湖南省工信厅承办。

湖南大学作为2019年“中国航天日”主场活动承办方之一，在活动期间除了协办6场活动之外，还将承办4场论坛活动：

★ 第三届中国航天科技教育校长论坛

邀请200所全国知名的大、中(小)学的校长，围绕“钱学森教育思想助力新高考新课改”的主题，探究新时代中小学教育创新发展模式。

★ 亚热带遥感应用论坛

探讨亚热带地区遥感事业发展的方向性和战略性问题。

★ 国际青少年航天教育论坛

围绕“航天的未来创造，未来的航天”主题，聚焦优质国际化航天教育平台的创建。

★ “青聚湘江”暨2019年中国宇航学会青年专家论坛

主题为“青年，请投身最好的航天时代”。

此外，湖南省还将充分发挥广电湘军的优势，融入湖湘文化元素，组织策划了一系列文化活动。4月21日，湖南卫视《天天向上》栏目将播出航天主题节目；4月24日晚，湖南卫视将举办一场“2019年中国航天日直播文艺晚会”。在深度访谈节目《新闻当事人》邀请湘籍航天领军人物开展专题访谈；打造一场以航天为主题的焰火表演。
